It amazes me how often we stumble across cancer, I mean we all know at least one person who has had cancer and we all know someone who knows someone and so on. The strange thing is that even though its been around for ages its a lot more common now. When I was younger I never heard of anyone getting it and when my ma was younger she only heard of a few people getting it but now its so much more frequent.

I honestly believe that it is in our environment I mean look at all that bad shit we do and the bad shit we eat. They say do not eat what your grandmother wouldnt recognize in the store and there is so much new stuff out there pumped full with hormones or preservatives and what not.

I myself am scared to die like that and having never been one to go green or organic I think now is the time for me. it may or may not help but to me anything counts. I dont want to end up suffering like so many do like my family members have and at such a young age.

So it has been about 4-5 days since I have last had a delicious drag of a cig. I must say it is going better than I have expected but I am really trying this time. Although I have resisted all temptations to steal one of my mothers pack of smokes sitting next to the microwave it is getting harder and harder to resist every time she lights up (which is every 5 mins) and everywhere I go I can smell that dangerously delicious addiction calling my name.

Not only is it calling out to me but not having one has drove me up a tree. I feel like crap with out one I am more tired and stressed then usual. People piss me off a lot more now which is not good considering I work in a grocery store. Im ready to just rip up that old ladies coupons and saying I dont give a fuck about you and your coupons. See we have a double coupon day once a week and the customers are always so bitchy about saving money and when i refuse a coupon for whatever reason they blow it out of proportion. Then they try to quilt me with the whole well this store takes these coupons. Well I have news for you people I dont five a fuck and go take that coupon to that store I bet you dont get it doubled there. So anyways now that I have cleared that off my chest I probably wont rip up some ladies coupons when I work on double coupon day and I will probably last another day without that tasty cigarette I am craving.

Addiction everyone has one, and if you say you do not then I would like to call bull to that. I believe that everyone has one whether it is as simple as drinking coffee every morning to cigarettes or even cocaine, ect. My favorite though is the facebook addiction taking over the world rapidly. In college often times the reason students do not study or get their homework done is because of facebook you go online for a little bit you end up fiddling around on facebook or playing farmville or something along those lines. I do find the internet to be a big problem for me since i never do anything if I have it around and my number one addiction is built off of it too. Although facebook is a common addiction my addiction is not (considering anyone that looks at my screen laughs at me) I will openly admit my addiction is to Inuyasha fanfiction yes I LOVE reading Kagome/Sesshoumaru fanfiction and if you have a problem with that then fuck a duck because you are no better with your addictions than i am with mine so see dont be a dick about it we all have them. Oh btw I have quit my smoking and have been very volatile as of recent especially with the cravings talk about hell oh and the PMS i am suffering from is not helping and to all who dont know what that means google it.

Switching bodies…

Here is a random thought: have you ever wondered what it would be like to be the opposite sex for a day? I mean imagine this what if one day you just woke up and your breast were gone and your vagina was replaced with male genitalia. Have you ever wondered what its like for men or vice versa. I mean men are visual creatures they get aroused based on sight and women generally get aroused by sensations or actions. The male organ is also completely different from the female as well, a womens bud swells but thats it unlike the male anatomy with the penis just dangling there. I honestly couldnt imagine having something dangling between my legs smacking my thighs. Also what about the sensations does it feel different for men than for women? Well I am certainly curious about the differences between men and women and how people differ in those aspects. Hope I did not disturb too many of you with my thoughts but hope that maybe I gave some a new insight on things.

The Soulja Boy/UMD Controversy

The Story: Soulja Boy a 18 year old rap star with the hit “Tell Em” will be performing at the University of MN Duluth. Although many do enjoy Soulja Boy’s music it seems that quite a number of Duluth students are against his coming to the school. There are even facebook groups either for Soulja Boy or against him. Many are concerned about his lyrics and the image in which he portrays. Many shall protest this concert as stated in the UMD newspaper the day of the concert because he is degrading women in his lyrics and portraying racial views.

My Thoughts: Personally I believe that if you don’t like Soulja Boy don’t go to the concert plain and simple. I’m a woman and I like his music and that doesn’t mean I believe in everything he sings. Honestly its music I can write a song and not believe in any of it, here is an example go youtube and search the word fishdick and watch the music video of some kids singing that song now that’s a sick and wrong song but they state that they dont believe in anything they sang in that song. Another thing that the protestors of the soulja boy concert don’t get is that they are actually promoting the concert by causing such uproar. There are so many songs out there that if you listen carefully you may not approve of the lyrics but its music and he has sold a large amount of CD’s besides it is not as if we see the young man goin’ around and “Superman that hoe”. Also to the many that are against Soulja Boy why didn’t you protest the others who have come to the school with lyrics just as controversial? That is something for you to think about. I just think that the people need to calm down and realize this and that they need to realize that they are not gunna cancel the concert becausejust as many approve of him as those who don’t.
